So there is no secret that I hate shopping at the mall. I totally believe that my job choice over the last decade is to blame...If you followed my blog this long, I've mentioned before how I hate shopping!!! Why would I want to go to a place where I spend 40+ hours of my week? Another reason is due to the lack of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE..But again, this is not a rant about bad customer service in today's society.
I dislike shopping in stores for a few reasons...The aforementioned issues, the fact that I can NEVER find anything that fits me properly. Did I mention that jean shopping is the absolute Devil! I never legitimately go shopping unless there is something that I need, and 90% of the time I already know what that thing is, and I go, I get it and I leave. Walking in and out of stores for pure leisurely reasons, is just not how I roll...this could be because I also know what it's like for people to just meander around your store so nonchalantly who are "just browsing." And sorry folks, but nonchalant browsing fucks with our conversion. Those retail folk who read this understand my pain. And it sucks. I would never do things to others that I absolutely hate myself.
So my combined hatred for shopping and my unwillingness to hurt other retailers conversion percentage, leads me to my absolute most favorite past time. Online shopping!!! Now I can be anywhere and shop for just things! I mean the possibilities are endless....
And just throwing it out there, but whenever I buy something, I probably make that face!
Now I do feel like there may be a slight obsession going on. I can honestly say that I have never had this big of an urge to spend money...I even considered getting an AMEX cause of all the stuff I could possibly buy with it!!!! John saw the glimmer of new things in my eyes, and just like that....No more AMEX. (Ask him I was kind of mad.) And just because I know for a fact John reads this blog, I can assure you that I do not buy things..too often.
I like to refer to myself as an "online shopping cart hoarder." I just have so many...They.are. everywhere. The bad part is that I want and sometimes NEED everything in them!(I will be sure to distinguish which is which.) I'll just go and add things to my shopping cart and it somehow satisfies my urges..Then when I go back and something has been removed due to it's availability, a weight is somewhat lifted off my shoulders.. Kind of like that whole "If it's meant to be it'll happen" kind of scenario. And just when I'm done drowning in pity over the sold out $150 blanket that I NEED(see there's that word again) I get an email saying that it's been restocked, therefore re-added to my cart...
Shhhiitttt.
I've compiled a list of what's in my top 5 favorite shopping carts: A little outrageous, but I seriously think there are others out there who share similiar problems, who could very well relate to this.
1. J.CREW: This could quite possibly be the biggest and fullest shopping cart to date!
Boys Denim Jacket // Nature Baby Booties // Camo Crew Neck Sweatshirt // Camo Onesie // Long Sleeve Baseball Onesie // Long Sleeve Baseball Tee //
2. Amazon.com: This could very well be the most expensive shopping cart!
Turquoise & White Chevron Rug // White Faux Sheepskin Rug // Hungry Caterpillar Onesie // Goodnight Moon Onesie // Boon Spoon // Boon Highchair //
3. Gap/Old Navy: This is bad cause it combines 2 stores into one cart!
Hi There One Piece // Quite the catch one piece // Utility Jacket // Redskins Tee // Steelers Tee // Broncos Tee // Ravens Tee // Rockstar Skinny Jeans //
4. Etsy: The Devil.
Colorblock Sleeveless Hoodie // Stripe Terry Shorties // Luckysageshop Bracelet // Fishing Wall Art // Fishing Wall Decal // Anchor Marquee //
5. Top Knot Goods: Love, love love!
Now for my top 2 Sold Out Shopping Carts
Loved by Hannah and Eli:
Papa Bear Tee // Mama Bear Hoodie // Man Cub Tank // Baby Bear Onesie //
Spearmint Baby:
I will undoubtedly own a majority of this one day....However it may span out over the next year or so as we are also saving to purchase a house.... But if I can't buy it all, at least I can come back here and look at it right? Kind of the same thing...
Really, but not really!
