Oh.My.Quad.

I hate hate double hate....WORKING OUT! Oh.my.god. It has got to the the most annoying and boring thing ever!

But first let's rewind to 2006. I was finally to the size that I wanted and my body looked the way I wanted it to. I guess I grew into it. I was a 00, weighed 100 lbs and could wear things and look cute. You could see my clavicles..(For some reason this has always been an obsession of mine...perhaps it's just a fun word.) Anyways moving on...But in July of 2006 I got pregnant with Jaiden, and I told my mom that I finally look how I want and now I'm pregnant! I did pretty good with maintaining my weight for the first 2 trimesters. I don't know what happened between 2 and 3 but I gained so much weight and shot up to 160lbs when I had Jaiden, and I've fluctuated between that and 140lbs for the last 7 years.

Well with this pregnancy I vowed that after I would be bringing sexy back.. I don't want to be skinny. I want to be fit. I had gestational diabetes during this last pregnancy so it's my duty this go around to eat healthier and exercise more. But the ability to wear a bikini and not look like a busted can of biscuits...Well that's just an added bonus!

So here are my super helpful weight loss tips I 've learned from personal experience:

1. Get off your ass. If you just sit on it..It's gonna get bigger. Fact.
2. If your gonna eat like shit, your gonna look like shit. Fact.
3. RUNNING your mouth isn't valid exercise.. Sorry.
4. Eat carrots..Not Cake.(The worst.)

My favorite exercise essentials are:

-Full panel maternity leggings- Who knew they could double as control top pants? They eliminate the need for Spanx and they keep my busted biscuits from falling out of the fridge.
-Comfy workout tanks
-Constricting bras..so your girls don't flop around like fishies out of water
-Lastly, a comfy couch for you to plant your ass on after it's just been kicked

Now going back to the title of this post.(my quads)..I've discovered a new place that offers Zumba, my most favorite form of exercise! And the best part is that it's black light so no one can see the lack of coordination I possess and also so I don't get lost following another person who lacks said coordination..ha! But not only is it fun, I took a class for an hour on Wednesday, and it's Friday night and my ass cheeks and thighs are still on fire! I've always hated going to the gym. I get bored. I hate working out at home. I've either got the dog sitting on my head while doing my ab exercises or Jaiden and John commentating on my "old age" or my lack of "perseverance."Neither of which I care to hear while I'm attempting to bring sexy back. And running was never my thing. I remember from the 5th grade when I was desperate to run a mile in under 7 minutes, a friend of mine(who likes to run) grabbed my hand and drug my ass the whole way so I would achieve that..Even then...I hated running..Not much has changed...And I doubt it ever will...

So with that being said..I have set a personal goal for myself....

MUDDERELLA.

It's a 5-7 mile long non-competitive obstacle course through mud! The program is about empowering women and believing in your own individual strength, but it also serves to prevent and support those who are victims of domestic violence! So running through mud for a good cause...Hell yea! Count me in! I am down right determined to train and prepare myself for this event. This year it is in September and I know I'm no where near ready for it! So my goal I've set for myself is to enter and finish the Mudderella event that will take place next year! So until then..
